This policy explains what Hic collects, why, and the control you have over it. In short: we collect only what makes the plans better, and we do not sell your data.

What we collect

Account information

Your email, username, a securely hashed password, an optional avatar, and your language setting.

Optional profile data

If you choose to add it: birth date (used only to derive an age bracket), gender, city of birth or residence, and your interests. This is optional and improves personalisation.

Location

When you enable it, GPS coordinates are used to show nearby experiences, unlock quests, and generate location-aware summaries. You can turn GPS off at any time and still get city-based recommendations.

Behavioural data

Experience points, badges, quest progress, and how features are used, so plans and progress work as intended.

Technical information

Device details, crash logs, performance metrics, and IP address, for reliability and security.

How long we keep it

• Active accounts: retained while you use Hic.
• Deleted accounts: purged within 30 days.
• Crash logs: up to 90 days.
• Anonymised analytics: up to 13 months.

Your controls

• Toggle GPS on or off at any time.
• Disable analytics in Settings.
• Request access, correction, deletion or portability of your data under GDPR and Swiss law.

Cookies

This website uses only the minimum cookies needed to function and, where applicable, anonymised analytics. It does not use cookies to sell or share your data.

Minimum age

Hic is intended for users of at least 13 to 16 years of age, depending on your jurisdiction.
